It's Spring!

I finally feel like it is Spring in Michigan (it actually feels more like Summer with these 80 degree days this week, wow!) and today the girls and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to take our first run of the year with the jogging stroller. My training plan only called for me to run 2 miles today which was perfect because a mere 1/4 mile into the run my oldest was already asking it we could go home. Apparently when you are 3 years old you would rather be running too than sitting strapped into jogging stroller no matter how many dandelions or teddy grahams you have to keep you entertained. Maybe I can take her on a short run with me next week. Here are some pictures I took with my iPhone on our run today of Spring popping up everywhere. Enjoy!

Leaves beginning to pop out on some trees.

Forsythia bush in bloom.

The only dandelion we saw that we could make a wish on and the wind stole our wish!

Magnolia blossoms.

Two of about ten dandelions we picked along the run. Someone kept dropping them over the side of the stroller and then wanting more.

A bridge on the trail I run on near our house.

Moss.

Different moss.

Part of a stone wall in front of a farmhouse we ran past. I like the stone with the spots.

The prairie about 1/2 mile into the trail a.k.a. the "Wild West!" according to my 3 year old.

Some pretty burgundy colored buds on a tree.

  1. I would like to comment on every picture, but...

I love the first tree! Your phone is able to take really nice images! Moss?? How neat! I too like the spotted rock! The wind stolen wish is my favorite...
