Yarn Along

I missed posting my Yarn Along photo and update yesterday, so I am posting it today.

I am currently reading A Brew to Kill by Cleo Coyle, it is the 11th book in her Coffee House Mysteries series about a cafe manager in New York City who solves murders. I discovered these books at my library a couple years ago when I entered "coffee" into their search database (I love coffee!) and was delighted to discover there was a whole mystery series revolving around a coffee shop. I love the fast pace of these books and they always keep me guessing, I almost never guess "who done it" correctly which I also love because there are a lot of mysteries out there that are just too easy to solve. I can usually finish off these books in a matter of 2 or 3 days which is another thing I find to be wonderful, although it sometimes makes it difficult to be productive those days. Each book contains a mini cookbook in the back with recipes that were used throughout the book plus a few others. I have tried a few recipes as I read through these books and they are always delicious. Just another fun factor to these books.

My knit for the week is some simple ribbed socks that I have been working on for forever. I finished the first sock and then somehow knit the heel of the second sock completely differently, so they have been put away for about a year. I rediscovered them in my closet this past week and am hoping to finish them up in the next couple of days, that is, if my reading doesn't get in the way!

  1. Cute stripes on your socks! I've heard good things about the Coffee House series - I'm a big fan of cozy mysteries, so I'll have to check these out! They look like great comfort reading. : )
