Date Night

Last Sunday my husband and I dropped off the girls at his aunt's house so we could have a date night (or date afternoon rather, since it was around 2 p.m.). The same aunt had given us a gift card to our favorite restaurant, Sakura, which we basically only go to on our anniversary because it is so expensive. Sakura is a hibachi grill where they cook your food on a tabletop right in front of you so you get dinner and a "show".

Yes, that is a little man peeing on the onion "volcano" to put it out. haha

You can order from the menu or from the specials board which is usually a better deal for two people and was what we did. This time we decided on filet mingon, chicken, shrimp, and salmon Veggies and rice are also included. Yum!

Each meal comes with a bowl of onion and mushroom soup and a salad with some kind of crazy good ginger house dressing that I would just drink if I could get away with it without looking insane.

You also get four tempura shrimp. We ate two of them before I could get a picture.

When you are finished with dinner, your meal comes with a shot of plum wine or a bowl of ice cream. The first time we ever ate there I had the shot of plum wine and I was hooked, it is delicious! This time I ordered a whole bottle of the wine so I could drink a glass during dinner and then take the rest of the bottle home to enjoy this week. Since we were both full we decided to pass on dessert, I couldn't have eaten another bite!

I cannot wait until October so we can go again!
