Spaghetti Stringing Activity

Yesterday the girls were bored, so I pulled up Pinterest where I have a couple boards specified for kids that I have lots of fun activities pinned to. I have been looking at this super easy spaghetti stringing activity for awhile now and decided we would try it out. Basically all you need is some Play-Doh, a few uncooked spaghetti noodles, and a bowl of cheerios. You take the Play-Doh and make a ball and stick a noodle or two into it and then the kids get to string the cheerios onto it. Easy peasy! My 1 and 3 year olds were both able to do this activity which is always a plus, we have been doing a lot of activities lately that are a little too advanced for my 1 year old to fully enjoy. This is also a great snack time activity because they can eat the cheerios as they string them.

They strung cheerios for about 1/2 hour until it was time for lunch. I was thinking they would do more after lunch, so I left everything out on the tray. Unfortunately the dog was also hungry I guess, because when we came back out to play the Play-Doh was missing. I found it spread all over his dog bed (I don't think he actually ate any of it, it must not have tasted very good!) and since it was all slobbery and covered in dog hair I threw it out. We're starting to run low on Play-Doh, and I'm thinking maybe the girls will get some in their Easter baskets. Has anyone tried out the new Play-Doh Plus? Thoughts?
