The book I am reading this week is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I have been waiting for almost a year for this book to be available at the library because I am too cheap to buy it for my Kindle (yes, it is only like $6 haha) so I had very high hopes for it since it is obviously such a popular book. I'm about 30 pages in and for some reason it has been a very sloooow 30 pages and I can't seem to keep my focus on the story. I think the problem is that I am in between the second and third books in a different series and I really just want to read that instead, but I am waiting to start it until I am finished with this one. I am notorious for reading 2 or 3 books at a time and I would really like to try to just focus on one book at a time this year.
The pink knitting is the beginning of the second sleeve of the Campfire Sweater I am knitting for my daughter. Since I haven't had much time to knit lately I have been setting small goals for myself each day that I think are achievable, such as "knit to the end of the ribbing" or "knit to the end of the increases" and it seems to be working pretty well and makes something like a whole sweater seem less daunting. I'm really looking forward to getting the sleeves done so I can start on the body and get to the colorwork. I love colorwork!
